This setting is only displayed if the Country Code management setting is outside of the U.S.

Sets the display language for the application (text labels, messages, dashboards, etc.) : English or French (CA).

A new employee's Language Reference, a separate setting, is set to the location's preference by default, but it takes priority over the location's setting whenever the two differ.

What is translated based on Language Preference?

  • All application text, such as screen / tab / field / menu labels, buttons, messages, dashboards, etc.

It does not include

  • text typed / entered by users (e.g., names, vehicle color, location name / code / dealer number).
  • formatting for numbers, date / times, currency, and fuel measurements. These are managed by other regional settings.
