Length of Use (LOU)
Length of Use (LOU) is the average length, in days (rounded to two decimal places), of agreements that were closed during a given period.
How is LOU calculated?
Total duration, in days, of closed and close pended agreements ÷ total number of closed and close pended agreements during the specified period, excluding Third Party, Shuttle, and Internal Use agreements. For example, if you have 160 agreement days on closed agreements and 52 closed agreements in a 30-day period, then your LOU for that period is 3.08 days.
Where can I find my location's LOU?
How can I lower my LOU to the recommended value of 2.5 days (over 90 days)?
See "Best Practices: Length of Use (LOU)" for tips on managing your LOU.
What if an agreement was opened at one location and closed at another? For which location does this agreement impact LOU?
If an agreement was opened at one location and closed at another, the closed agreement and its duration is attributed toward the location that opened the agreement.
